k-System:

Business unit of Kyotex®, k-System is the system of innovative solutions designed by ALC in the PSA (Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive) sector.
Created for footwear and leather goods companies, it offers a range of solid cold adhesives that are activated by pressure.
The advantages of k-System systems
Clean
They use 100% solid adhesives, without solvents and/or harmful fumes, and do not require cleaning interventions. Each application is automated and precise and does not require specialized labor.
Simple
They offer specific adhesives for every need, becoming synonymous with efficiency, safety, and reliability. Known internationally, they are present in 90% of the footwear produced in Italy.
High-performing
Born from the combination of a series of adhesive tapes and dedicated machinery, they guarantee high quality standards, significant increases in productivity, and decisive process revolutions.
These charts illustrate the values that emerged from a comparative survey of 4 different adhesive systems (K System, double-sided tape, water-based adhesive, solvent-based adhesive) conducted among customers in the Italian, European, and non-European markets. From the survey, which consisted of 21 questions, it emerged that K System guarantees an overall rating of 91/100.
The Kyo System
The Kyo system is based on the combination of an innovative high-performance self-adhesive film; it consists of a series of dedicated machines and pairs of adhesive tapes specific for each support to be glued.
Characterized by great versatility and cleanliness, the Kyo system allows for higher quality and significant production increases.
Since its introduction in 2007, Kyo has glued over 2 billion insoles with more than 2000 machines in 50 countries.
The Machines

KyoBorder is the answer to ALC’s continuous search for the ever-increasing market need to have an efficient and effective system for edging leathers and fabrics in various applications in the footwear and leather goods sectors.
The machine allows the application of edge banding tape, significantly reducing production times and enabling offline work. Precise and versatile, it adapts to any size and type of fabric and leather. It is very durable and quiet, as well as simple and intuitive to use.
The tapes are specially designed for edging and allow the creation of lines and curves with maximum precision. They are suitable for most natural and synthetic fabrics, resistant to temperatures, do not gum up the needles during sewing, and allow repositioning. In addition, they maintain the unchanged characteristics of the fabrics and are free from harmful fumes.
Safelock fixes the insole on the last without nails and staples.
The attachment is achieved thanks to a double-sided acrylic adhesive specifically designed and customized according to the customer’s needs. It is easily removable because the shape, after its use, will remain perfectly intact and reusable.
Safelock is able to pre-cut the double-sided tape according to the user’s needs and apply it to the shape very quickly. Alongside productive efficiency, this system guarantees an aesthetic result and a product quality not achievable with nailing.
Furthermore, the complete absence of nails or mechanical fasteners eliminates the risk of injury for the end customer.
